Brady-Schulze Architects (BSA) is a full-service San Diego-based architectural design firm dedicated to creating client-centric design solutions that exceed expectations. We offer planning, architecture, interior design, and sustainable design services across various industries, including biotech and commercial.
Our principals, Matt Brady, AIA, and Tim Schulze, AIA, lead by doing rather than directing, a rare management philosophy. Their active involvement unifies the project team and inspires a higher standard of quality. Our principals and all design professionals are dedicated to seeing the project through to successful completion. They remain active throughout the project’s life, ensuring compliance with program requirements, expediting entitlement, planning, design, future construction processes, and providing high-level peer reviews and quality control. They are also available to guide clients through the design, development, entitlement, and approval process.
The Firm
Our Principals
Matt Brady, AIA, NCARB
Matt is dedicated to delivering high-quality architectural services with a strong focus on principal-level involvement. He leverages a diverse set of skills to ensure that the end product meets the client’s needs in terms of cost, aesthetics, function, and schedule.
He is dedicated to creating lasting, valuable facilities in collaboration with clients. As a licensed architect in California, Texas, Nevada and Colorado, he brings 18 years of expertise in laboratory design, particularly in the electronics and bioscience sectors. His skills encompass programming, laboratory planning, space planning, design concept development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
With over 35 years of architectural firm leadership, Tim has helped shape more than 15 million square feet of technically complex, site-specific facilities across California and the Midwest. He specializes in industrial, life science, and technology-driven environments—guiding projects from master planning through entitlement, design, and delivery.
Tim's portfolio spans industrial , life science, and technology driven projects and over 125 ground-up buildings, many of them build-to-suits. He brings strategic clarity to the entitlement phase—often the most challenging part of development—navigating zoning, permitting, and agency approvals to accelerate progress and build trust. He ensures corporate commitment and resource allocation for BSA projects. Tim currently has active licenses in CA, KS and NV.
