Synthetic Genomics Inc. develops genomic‑driven commercial solutions aimed at transforming multiple industries. In partnership with ExxonMobil, the company has launched a major initiative to research and develop next‑generation biofuels derived from photosynthetic algae—part of a broader commitment to advancing breakthrough energy technologies and addressing long‑term global energy challenges.

The laboratory adjacent to the main greenhouse R&D facility includes an analytical lab, culture lab, autoclave support area, and wet‑processing zone. The overall research environment is designed to maximize flexibility and natural light to support a wide range of testing conditions.

Building utilities were engineered to meet the demands of a high‑performance biotech program and include house vacuum systems, biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, DI water, natural gas, and compressed air.

Project completed by Tim Schulze while at Pacific Cornerstone Architects. Tim served as Principal-in-Charge.
