At Torrey Pines Science Center, our goal was to create a high‑performing environment where research teams can collaborate, innovate, and thrive. Working closely with McCarthy‑Cook, we shaped a vision grounded in our deep experience designing advanced life science environments.

Today’s research organizations need more than efficient space—they need workplaces that foster culture, support wellbeing, and help attract top talent. Thoughtful placemaking is essential, especially within communities of innovation.

The Science Center prioritizes connection and collaboration through flexible communal areas, barrier‑free planning, and spaces that integrate seamlessly into the neighborhood’s social, cultural, and environmental fabric. The result is a campus designed to endure, supporting people, ideas, and discovery well into the future.
